The 21st Century Chautauqua for Fall 2009 at Michigan State University focuses on Creativity, Economic Development, and Ethics

This Week at TC

The first meeting of the Fall semester is September 16, 2009, 6-8PM, 302 Snyder. We invite participants to come with an anecdote, case, or quote that relates to "creativity" in some way. Could be from the news, personal experience, a favorite book, etc.

Traveling Chautauquas at MSU

In 2007, Michigan State University began a program of "Traveling Chautauqua." Each semester, MSU students, faculty, and staff, as well as members of the community engage in weekly dialogue. The Chautauqua project at MSU began with the Association of American Colleges and Universities' Core Commitments Initiative.

The 21C Wiki

The 21st Century Traveling Chautauqua Wiki is a collaborative dialogue and discourse space designed to both facilitate continuing discussions that begin at traveling Chautauqua meetings and to continue the central project of the traveling Chautauqua: to foster useful and meaningful dialogue about relevant topics. This wiki wants to adopt the guiding principles of our dialogues to this digital medium and take advantages of the affordances of the technology to help us understand other perspectives and appreciate the complexities of today’s issues.
